Edit or Add Legal Pages (Privacy Policy, Return Policy, and Terms & Conditions)

It is important to note that we do not take any legal responsibility between you, your business, and your customers. Even though we provide legal templates for you to use, it is still your responsibility to make sure to modify them to cover all the legal implications that you or your business might face.

Once your store starts to make money then we would highly recommend that you hire a lawyer to help modify these documents to better suit your business. You need to see this as an investment that might protect you from any future legal implications that you or your business might face.

Privacy Policy

A privacy policy is crucial because it builds trust with customers by explaining how their personal data is collected, stored, and used.

With online shopping, people share sensitive details like addresses and payment information. A clear privacy policy reassures them that their data is protected and used ethically, helping your business comply with legal regulations like POPIA or GDPR.

Without one, customers may hesitate to complete purchases, fearing misuse of their information.

To edit your privacy policy page, go to your dashboard and then hover your mouse over pages and then click on all pages. Scroll down to the page labeled privacy policy and click on edit.

This page was built using the classic editor because we only need to add text. All you have to do here is to add your website address under the heading “Who we are”.

Next, let’s go to terms and conditions.

Terms and Conditions

Terms and conditions and a return policy protect both your business and your customers by setting clear expectations. Terms and conditions outline rules for using your site, payment terms, and liability disclaimers, preventing disputes.

Your terms and conditions will also be displayed on the checkout page where your customers have to agree to it before placing their order.

To edit it, go to the terms and conditions page under all pages and click on edit. Scroll down until you see definitions and add your URL under the website.

Next, let’s do the return policy.

Refund and Returns Policy

A return policy clarifies how customers can return or exchange items, reducing frustration and increasing confidence in buying from you. Without these policies, misunderstandings can lead to lost sales, negative reviews, and even legal trouble.

To edit the return policy, you need to click on the edit link of return “Refund and Returns Policy” under all pages. You will need to edit the current return policy to reflect that of your own business needs.

Remember to add the physical and email address to the end of the document under the heading labeled “Need Help?”

Once done, click on the save button.
